Tracy Bottomley founded eContact Services (eCS) nearly twenty years ago, after a successful career in sales and marketing at two groundbreaking organisations, Acorn Computers. ARM and Apple Inc. In the late 1990s, she moved into a business development role in the telecommunications industry, working for one of the first Best of Breed rating and billing vendors in the communications sector, Geneva Technology (latterly acquired by Convergys).
She understands industry needs, identifying leads within a fast-growing and the evolving market and is therefore fully conversant with the pressures on vendors and operators.
Recognising a gap in the market for a specialist lead generation company, eCS was formed. Her unique expertise in the sector, together with a technology background from working in leading innovative global companies, enabled her to develop her company; eCS is well-respected within the industry and recognised as a leader in appointment setting and lead generation services in a very specialised and niche sector. A successful and growing firm, it has an unrivalled list of clients across the globe, including some of the world’s largest and best-known companies. HEAD OF STRATEGY
Jim Ward has worked in sales and marketing, and as an entrepreneur, for over thirty years; at least fifteen of those were spent gaining specific expertise in the mobile and wireless space. He was director and CEO of a Telecommunications Trade Association for two years, assisting mobile and wireless companies with business growth in a fast-evolving vertical market.
He has held various roles within sales and marketing, managing teams of people in diverse technologies and growing businesses five fold in under five years.
A director of eContact Services, he has assisted with the strategic growth and direction of the business, while still helping other companies within Europe break into new markets.
He is currently a director of organisations in the mobile and digital healthcare sector and has helped companies from Scandinavia successfully enter and win business in the UK.
HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Dan Hughes has worked in marketing and lead generation for over ten years, specifically within the telco space. His detailed knowledge about the technologies at use in the industry is supported by a solid background in IT, with hands on experience from Cisco to Microsoft. This knowledge is used to provide quality leads for clients. A team player, he works diligently to ensure results for clients and assists team members in improving their day to day performance.
HEAD OF BUSINESS CHANGE
Cameron Scott has recently joined eContact Services in the role of Head of Business Change. He will have a key role to play in the growth and transformation plans for the Company. Cameron moved to eCS after nearly fourteen years in the public sector with Scottish Enterprise – Scotland’s economic development agency – where he worked in a variety of roles including operational HR, Investment and, latterly, establishing and managing the ScotGrad scheme, which was the country’s flagship Graduate Programme for small and medium sized enterprises. His career started in Human Resources, where he held positions in a number of public and private organisations, including National Australia Bank, Allied Vehicles Group Ltd and The Glasgow School of Art. He is a Chartered member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Niamh has spent the last twenty years in the Telecommunications Industry working with operators, vendors and systems integrators through Industry bodies namely GSMA and TM Forum. Over the years she has learnt much about industry needs within this fast-growing and evolving market and is therefore fully conversant with the pressures on vendors and operators.
She has been instrumental in pointing many of the world’s leading operators in the right direction to address their pain points and to collaborate with vendor experts to solve industry challenges. She was also instrumental in bringing IBC and TM Forum together to have their respective audiences collaborate on cross-industry challenges.
Her passion is to connect people with each other and is a consummate networker. She is delighted to join eCS and is most attracted by the expertise and knowledge of both Telecoms and Broadcasting sectors, the professionalism and track record of the eCS team and is looking forward to adding to its success.
HEAD OF SALES
Mark has over 20 years’ experience in running Sales & Business Development Teams globally within the Telecom and IT Industries.
He has worked for the likes of BT, Compaq, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Dell Technologies, and Micro Focus in Senior roles, thriving on building high performing and successful teams.
Mark joined eCS to take over the management of internal and external sales in our Glasgow office, using his vast experience of growing sales through experience, training, coaching and management.
He originally trained in Design at the Glasgow Mackintosh School of Art, staying on in his adopted Glasgow, before joining IT Sales for various organisation, rising of Head of Business Development and Sales Director in various organisations.
Very team focussed and hard working, he loves the challenge of growing eCS into a market leader.
